Kuwaiti visa trafficker
According to Arabtimes, Personnel from the Residence Affairs Department are looking for a Kuwaiti, identified only as A.R., for forging documentsand getting approval from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to bring into the country 300 workers for the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added, on the strength of the forged contracts, the suspect who allegedly owns two companies, was given approval to bring in the 300 employees.
However, after the discovery of the forgery of the contracts, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Citizenship and Passports Affairs Major-General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah Al Sabah learned that each employee had paid KD 1,500 for the visa. According to the security source, A.R. managed to manipulate and get approval from the General Authority for Manpower and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor for 300 work permits to bring laborers from outside the country.
The same source said each of the 198 workers of the 300 who arrived into the country had paid KD 1,500 each. A case of forgery has been registered at the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station and the case has now been referred to the Public Prosecution. The security source the Public Prosecutor has been asked to impose security restrictions on the workers of the two institutions until the completion of investigations.
