Shuts down shops, malls, barbershops, salons due to coronavirus

Shops, malls, and Salons (Men and Women) will be closed due to coronavirus precautions, Tareq Al-Mezrem, government spokesman said Saturday in a press conference, accompanied by Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah, and Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi, Al-Mezrem added arcades and entertainment centers for children will also be closed.

The spokesman said cooperative societies and ration centers will remain open. Minister Al-Harbi asserted all students abroad should stay indoors, and all scholarships won’t be affected, adding that they have received 8,918 calls from Kuwaiti students abroad.
