Fined KD 3,000 for insulting
The Misdemeanor Court fined a Kuwaiti citizen KD 3,000 for insulting another citizen on Instagram. The court referred civil aspect of the case to the relevant court.
The case file indicated the Public Prosecution charged the defendant for abusing and humiliating the plaintiff on the social media platform and defied his honor.
Plaintiff Lawyer Zaid Al-Kabbaz presented documents containing a copy of the insults hailed on his client by the defendant and requested KD 5,001 in compensation for moral and psychological damage caused.
