23-06-2018 – The Ahmadi police are looking for an unidentified police for stealing KD 160 from a Sri Lankan, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the victim has filed a complaint with the Sabahiya Police Station. In his complaint the man claimed the suspect impersonating police asked him for his ID and when he pulled out the wallet, he was hit on the head and the man escaped with the money. The incident happened when he was on his way home.

29-03-2018 – Police have arrested a Kuwaiti for impersonating police, using the blue police light with a siren on his vehicle and forcing motorists to give him way, reports Al- Rai daily. The impersonator was caught in Mahboula by the Ahmadi police patrol which was in the area. When police checked his ID on computer, they discovered he is a civilian and has nothing to do with police. He was also driving vehicle which is not road worthy. The impersonator has been referred to the Criminal Investigations Department.

12-02-2018 – Police are looking for an unidentified person for impersonating police and robbing two Bangladeshi grocers, reports Al-Anba daily.

10-02-2018 –  Three Kuwaiti citizens were arrested for impersonating police officers and robbed two Asian expatriates of their money in Capital Governorate. According to security sources, the victims called the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior and reported that three securitymen robbed them of their money. Securitymen rushed to the location and managed to find three Kuwaiti citizens in the vicinity. They were referred to Sharq Police Station for investigations.

02-12-2017 – A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for impersonating police and robbing expatriates, reports Al-Anba daily. Securitymen received several complaints from expatriates about a policeman who drove a white jeep and who would stop them and rob them of their possessions under the threat of deporting them if they resisted or informed police. Using the information provided by the victims, securitymen launched intensive investigations, which led to the discovery of the suspect’s identity. He was arrested while he was leaving a government office where he works. When interrogated, he confessed to committing 13 such robberies. Victims also recognized him in police lineups. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

12-09-2017 – Police are looking for an unidentified man for impersonating police and robbing a 60- year old Indian, reports Al-Anba daily. The Indian, who is working for the Khaitan Cooperative Society has filed a complaint with the Khaitan Police Station. He said the suspect showed his ID carrying the Interior Ministry logo, accused him of peddling in drugs and ordered him to get into the Jeep. He then drove him to an unidentified location and took his wallet containing KD 4.500, his civil ID, ATM card and cell phone.

16-08-2017 – A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for impersonating police and robbing Asians of their cell phones and money, reports Al-Anba daily. Five police stations had received several complaints from victims. An Ahmadi police patrol team saw the impersonator checking the civil IDs of expatriates. They chased and seized him when he ran away after noticing the police approach him.

02-04-2017 – Police have arrested a Syrian for impersonating police and robbing expatriates, reports Al-Anba daily. According to a security source, the arrest came after a 57-year-old Indian laundryman told police the Syrian claimed he was a detective and ordered him to get into his car. He then drove him to an isolated spot, took KD 360 from his wallet and flung the wallet out of the car and kicked the man out of the car a little further. Intensive investigations conducted by securitymen led to the arrest of the Syrian.
