3 women rob 55 flats in Kuwait
Kuwaiti police arrested three Turkish women accused of stealing 55 apartments in the oil-rich Gulf emirate while on visit visas, a newspaper reported on Monday.
The three targeted apartments whose owners were away, but they also pretended to be beggars when they were faced by the tenants after knocking on the door. The Arabic language daily ‘Al Watan’ said the three confessed to stealing 55 flats and houses in the Eastern Hawalli province.
“They were found to be on visit visas. They told police that they would leave the country after robbing some houses, before returning again,” it said.
Three Turkish women responsible for robbing at least 55 homes in the East Hawalli suburb of Kuwait have been apprehended by local law enforcement.
