Police have taken into custody four men (one of them armed with a cleaver) for kidnapping a young Interior Ministry police officer, taking him allegedly to a deserted area, molesting him and threatening to kill him, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to a complaint filed by the victim, this happened when one of the suspects, who is his friend came along with three other persons, whom he does not know and lured him to accompany them for a picnic.
During interrogation, the suspects denied the charge of molestation and an attempt to kill him. However, one of them said they beat the man because of his involvement with the sister of one of them and accused him of being ‘impolite’ with her.
