Stop recruiting NON Kuwaiti Staff
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has instructed the Education Ministry to stop the recruitment of non- Kuwaiti staff, except the teachers, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.
Sources disclosed there is no non-academic job slot for expatriates this school year as the open job for them is only that of teachers.
Sources said the CSC has also asked the ministries of Health, Education, Electricity and Public Works, as well as the Environment Public Authority (EPA) to submit their actual manpower need for those with rare fields of specialization registered in the central employment system, including the graduates of Kuwait University and accredited academic institutions in other countries.
Sources pointed out these institutions usually require manpower with rare fields of specialization like Physics, Biology, Geometry and Philosophy among others. Sources added those specialized in rare fields wait for a long time to get jobs — more than a year and a half, while those who completed diploma courses get jobs faster than the bachelor’s degree holders.
