As per Arabtimes – The Public Prosecution decided to detain Twitter user, Sarah Al-Durees, for a day to question her in relation to her posts on her Twitter account as these posts were deemed offensive to HH the Amir and his authority.
Sources disclosed Al-Durees turned herself to the police after the Public Prosecution issued a warrant to arrest her.
She denied all the charges during the interrogation, sources added.Meanwhile, the Criminal Court sentenced a Saudi national working in the Justice Ministry to seven years in jail with hard labor for forging documents to acquire Kuwaiti citizenship. The court also obliged him to return KD 24,000 which he received illegally and fined him KD 48,000.
