Kuwait’s Nour Salem won the silver medal with her Indian teammate
A Kuwaiti female athlete won second place at the Jordanian international table-tennis tournament which began here Saturday with the participation of 72 players from 11 countries.
Kuwait’s Nour Salem won the silver with her Indian teammate in the under 18 team category after beating a team of Jordanian nationals and losing for a Jordanian-Taiwanese team which came first. Salem told KUNA that the competition was tough; however, she and her teammate managed to come in second place despite the odds. The tournament, which saw the participation of Kuwait, Jordan, France, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Taiwan, Qatar, Saudi, UAE, India, and Iraq, will continue till next Tuesday.
