Kuwait introduces compulsory medical consent forms
Kuwait has introduced compulsory medical consent forms that require patients to give approval before any procedure, Kuwait Times reported.
Under the new document, doctors will be mandated to brief patients about medical protocols and options for each case before the patient signs off on their approval prior to any medical treatment, including surgery.
Doctors also will be required to provide all information, including possible side effects, about a medicine before administering it.
The new affidavit would be compulsory in both public and private hospitals and clinics, the daily said.
