Philippine laborers will no longer be employed in Kuwait

Silvestre Bello, the Philippine Labor Secretary stated on Thursday that due to the killing of a Filipino employee who’s claimed to be murdered by her female Kuwaiti boss, the Philippine authorities will no longer send new laborers to Kuwait in the current time till the end of the investigation.

Silvestre Bello addressing Philippine laborers at Kuwait recited that “We will declare partial deployment ban which means that we will not deploy new OFWs”.

There will be no new employment for any new workers particularly house servants, with the exception of recurrent laborers since they will be permitted to leave the country, stated Bello.

Regarding the above-mentioned murder, it was supposed that the wife of a Kuwaiti employer killed a Philippine domestic helper, According to the Philippine media, Jeanelyn Villaverde.

Bello also included that “Now whether this will ripen into a total deployment ban will depend on what the Kuwaiti authorities will do to give justice to our countrywoman”.

    The only justice that will give to the OFWs who died here in Kuwait is the Total ban. In 4 years their are 200 Ofw die enough reason for the total ban if the goverment still care for their people.
