Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education at Ministry of Education Fatmah Al- Kandari has issued a statement to announce that the online tests for supervisory positions for academic year 2016/2017 will be held from Sunday, Feb 19 to Thursday, Feb 23. She explained that the tests are for positions of school manager, head of department and technical supervisor.

It will be held in two shifts — morning and evening inside the ministry’s training centers in Jabriya and Farwaniya area. The online tests for heads of Arabic Language departments, which was postponed for all academic levels, will be held from Sunday, March 5 to Tuesday, March 7 during the evening shift at the same locations in Jabriya and Farwaniya areas.

In addition, training sessions for nominees of supervisory positions such as school manager, head of department and technical supervisor, who will take the online tests, will be from Sunday, Feb 12 to Thursday, Feb 16 at Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Jabriya training centers. Meanwhile, Coordination Department of Ministry of Education declared vacancies for GCC nationals, Bedoun residents and expatriates who are interested in applying for teaching jobs based on local contract for the academic year 2017/2018.

Applicants can seek for teaching jobs in tens different specialties. This includes male applicants for Arabic, English, Chemistry, Biology and Geology subjects, applicants of both genders for French, Mathematics, Physics and Music subjects and only female applicants for Physical Education. The ministry exempts GCC nationals, Bedoun residents, children of Kuwaiti women and wives of Kuwaitis from the condition of experience in all specialties.

Expatriate applicants are also exempted from having experience in Physical Education (female) and Music (male and female). The condition of experience is now two and three years for expatriate applicants with degrees in education and non-education respectively to be qualified for other subjects. Masters and doctorate degree- holding expatriate applicants are also exempted from the condition of experience in all specialties, but they must have graduated with a minimum of “good”.
