Ansar Burney Trust International Chairman Ansar Burney has once again requested the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, in the greater interest of families and humanity to open visa for the families of Pakistanis living and working in Kuwait since long, says a press release on Saturday.
Ansar Burney in this regard has once again also sent letters to President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the request to intervene and negotiate with the Kuwait government in this humanitarian matter to make all possible efforts in this regard to help Pakistani families in getting visas. He also requested Pakistan government to assist the Ansar Burney Trust International in this regard.
Ansar Burney said that there was a total ban on all types of visas for the families of Pakistanis living and working in Kuwait. The ban, imposed on nationals from Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan, includes suspending all tourism, visit and trade visas as well as visas sponsored by spouses that now creating big problems in between the families.
Ansar Burney said that there had been also a number of cases where families had been sent back to Pakistan after paying a hefty penalty even after the completion of medical, fingerprinting and other formalities, residence visa was not stamped.
