 Kuwait re-issued the first 130 years old Kuwaiti coin “Paisa”

His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), Dr. Mohammad Y. Al-Hashel, announced that CBK issued a commemorative coin for the 130th anniversary of the first national coin “Paisa”.

The Kuwaiti ‘Baiza,’ Kuwait’s first national currency issued 130 years ago. During the reign of Sheikh Abdullah II bin Sabah Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s fifth ruler. The ‘Baiza’ was issued on 1886 (Hijri year 1304).
