71 arrested in Salmiya
In line with the ongoing efforts of the Interior Ministry to track down criminals and maintain the rule of law, officers from the Hawally Security Directorate carried out a security crackdown in Salmiya.
This campaign resulted in the arrest of 71 persons wanted by law for involvement in different cases, including violation of the Residency Law.
In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media Department disclosed the campaign lasted for two hours and a half, during which checkpoints were established in all the entry and exit points of the area.
Police checked the identities of 687 people and arrested 10 suspected of possessing narcotic substances, 10 wanted by law for involvement in financial cases,
five for holding expired residency permits, 16 for violating the Residency Law and five who were reported absconding, while 25 others were not carrying their identification documents.
Also, two cars were impounded and 43 traffic citations were issued. The department stressed the need for citizens and expatriates to always carry their identification papers and present them to the securitymen when demanded to avoid legal problems, affirming the security campaigns will continue in all governorates.

Jalal Iqbal I've never said that society doesn't need such jobs. Opposite. And I didn't say low class . I said low paid! It's 2 huge differences. Never mind. The argument is not about someone's education. The discussion is about statistic in violations! And each nation has its one crimes!. Drugs or alcohol and murder…. we r talking about residential violations! And in this field you want it or not only those workers are in risk group.
Yulia Matuzova wow u sound so nice and educated…i doubt who are actually low class people. its the low paid people who works so hard to make others life easy or those who feels them to be high class but hear tis filled with such poor dirts. we also see some good white people doing good job here as well. poor in all sense..wow such a great expression of education, mindset and what not…..i am in serious doubt actually who are poor? lol…..
They do mention other nationalities, if you are following their news, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, American….. but it depends on what happened. Usually only low paid people having problems with law.( staying without visa and so on). And sorry to tell you bad news ( if you didn't notice it till now), but some Asians (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh,etc) are working as a low class labours. Some of them are doing everything to stay here even illegally. Did you ever saw an American or European here without visa?! I didn't even hear about it! It's nonsense! That's why most news are about those poor people. Poor in all senses. So I don't find any discrimination in such news.
Yulia Matuzova i have said that too always. that is my point to the admin of this page or the media people, when they always try to cover a few nation but try to lower the image of a few other nation. there is nothing to do with the country as a whole. probably u missed my point or i failed to make u understand.
What it has to do with nationality? Make your documents legal and no one will touch you.
