lobour_bannerWorkers Shall not be required to work for more than five consecutive hours a day without a break minimum of one hour that is not included in the working hours. The financial, commercial and investment sectors shall be excluded from this provision and the working hours shall be equal to eight consecutive hours. After having obtained the consent of the Minister, workers may be required to work without a rest break for technical and urgent reasons or in office work provided that the total daily working hours is one hour less than the number of daily working hours specified in Article 64.

    How about us household workers, especially the nannies, 12-15hours of work a day even just a 15minutes nap we cannot do it, is there any chances all kuwaitis will abide this law? I don't think so 🙁
    Only patient we so have to til the contract ends…God bless us all

    I hope all the companies can understand this law. Cuz there is some companies if we work only 6hrs the day off will be only 2wice a month. And about holidays they give only half day so hopefully the ministries they can send some people to check about this especially in cosmetics and Fasion it's really bad and we afraid to lose our work.

    How about the household worker we are working 15 to 16 hours a day..and I'm the one provider to all my personal need even soap of my dress…no good eat if in not buy for my on..only rice and noodles they give me!!!!

    This is really good for all the workers here in kuwait but some of the employer there not following the rules and regulations, beside the are not interested to follow because they are kuwaiti and they have lot of wasta, even you cant complain in the ministry of labor the employees not untitled to win,
    So where we gonna be complain if the employer he/she have wasta in ministry of labor.

    Like for example,
    My wife she's working @ salon in jeeleeb working @ 12 hours a day no without pay for her over time and how much her salary' only KD130. Without housing allowance food and transportation
    Please help me or guide me what are the best way we can do.
