Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Affairs in the Ministry of Education Fatima Al-Kandari has clarified that the ministry has not taken any decision to transfer gay or lesbian teachers to administrative work, reports Al-Rai daily.
In a press statement, Al-Kandari denied the allegation regarding these teachers, while Human Resources Management Director Saud Al-Juwaiser disclosed the Administrative Sector has not received any instruction to refer those teachers to administrative work.
He added the decision is beyond the jurisdiction of the ministry. In case such a decision is taken, the concerned teachers can return to work by virtue of a court order, he concluded.
