The Cabinet will study the possibility of increasing the Eid Al-Adha holiday to include nine days, starting from October 3 until October 11th.
Earlier reports had suggested that the Civil Service Commission Secretary recommended that the holiday be limited to five days only; starting on Arafat day – be it Friday or Saturday – and continues for five days.
If Arafat is on Friday, then Tuesday will be given as a replacement, and if it is Saturday, it will be not be compensated because it is a rest day, and employees should report to work on Wednesday. — Al-Rai

Civil Service Commission (CSC) presented a proposal to the Council of Ministers to approve five days as Eid al- Adha holiday starting from Oct 3 and coinciding with Arafat day which falls on Friday until Tuesday Oct 7, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
CSC have declared 3 Eid Holidays and with Fri & Sat it would 5 holidays.
3 Oct to 7 Oct 2014.
