There are Islamic countries such as the UAE that have relaxed their gambling laws to a considerable extent, but Kuwait is not one of them and as such severely bans gambling in its various forms. However, Kuwait has a large expatriate community and surprisingly, Kuwaitis are in the minority in their own land, and constitute only one thirds of the population, the rest being foreigners. Many of these expats do not even have the same kind of belief as the natives have. The police are aware of this, and extremely eager to implement the anti-gambling laws of their country and close down these underhanded operations. In fact most of the gambling going on in Kuwait is in the form mobile operations, like in parking garages. Needless to say, all these forms of illegal gambling are quite unprotected.
