A routine patrol near Mangaf turned into something more when officers noticed a man acting suspiciously and moved closer. He bolted on foot.
That decision to run is what gave him away. Ahmadi security patrols chased him down, and what they found changed everything.

Officers gave chase and caught up with him. A search reportedly turned up several bags containing different types of drugs, already packaged and ready for sale to users around Mangaf.
The source said the man admitted to having the drugs with the intention of selling them to users. He’s since been referred to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings to continue.

What this means for residents
Mangaf is a busy residential area with a large mix of Kuwaiti and expat families, so news like this tends to get people talking fast. It’s worth remembering that this is still an allegation at this stage. The man has not been convicted of anything, and the case will go through the normal legal process before any verdict is reached.
For residents, especially those living around Mangaf, this is a reminder that security patrols are active in the area and do follow up on suspicious behaviour. If you’ve noticed increased patrol presence recently, this case may be part of why.
