KD 130 Health Insurance for Expats

November 14, 20191 Comment

There is coordination between the Health Insurance Hospitals Company and Ministry of Health to offer the health insurance for expatriates beginning from 2020, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources familiar with the issue.

This will be following the opening of the Dhaman hospitals purposely built to cater to expatriates and their families.

The same sources say the health insurance cover for each individual will be KD 130. It will include expatriates and their children working in the private sector. The value of Insurance will cover the tests, X-rays and other treatments.

However, the law does not define the body that will take the charge of offering the healthcare to the expatriate visitors when Dhaman hospitals begin operation.

The sources said that there is a media plan which will be announced in time to explain the mechanism of health insurance and treatment, noting that the current price in the Dhaman clinics is equivalent to the private health sector.

The deceision should be leave on expats either expats want health insurance from Dhaman system or they want to go any private hospitals, This must not mendatory for every one to pay 130kd and go to Dhaman clinic , maybe Expats would like to go other private hospitals and like this the cost will be double. The Insurance with Dhaman clinic must be selective not mandatory.we should not forced to pay 130 each and may we dont like to go DAHAMAN clinic.
