Viral video shows SUV pelted with rubbish in Jahra

If you park your car in Kuwait, even just for a quick errand, this video might make you think twice about where you leave it. A clip from Jahra is spreading fast on social media, showing a group of people throwing rubbish onto an SUV parked right next to a bin.

The video does not tell us why they did it, who they are, or who owns the car. It has still picked up a lot of views and comments, because it touches a nerve for anyone who has struggled to find decent parking, or who has had to deal with overflowing bins near their building.

It also comes not long after a police security sweep in Jahra that made headlines in the area, so residents there are already paying close attention to anything that goes viral locally.

What the video actually shows

From what’s circulating, the footage shows a group of people near a bin in a Jahra neighbourhood. They are seen piling rubbish onto an SUV parked beside the bin. That’s the extent of the confirmed detail right now.

We don’t know if the car owner was present, if the rubbish was already on the ground before being moved onto the car, or if this was a one-off moment caught on someone’s phone. The video doesn’t show what happened before or after.

Why would someone do this?

There’s no confirmed reason given in the clip or alongside it. People online are guessing it could be frustration over a car blocking access to the bin, or annoyance at the car being parked too close to it, making it harder to use. But that’s speculation, not a confirmed fact.

It’s also not clear if this was a single angry moment or something that built up over time, like repeated complaints about parking in that spot. Until someone involved speaks publicly, or the authorities comment, the real reason stays unknown.

Has anyone official said anything?

So far, there’s no statement from the Ministry of Interior, Jahra police, or the municipality about this video. We also don’t know if the car’s owner has filed a complaint, or if anyone involved in throwing the rubbish has been identified or questioned.

Given how fast videos like this spread in Kuwait, it wouldn’t be surprising if local authorities eventually comment or if more details come out. We’ll update this if that happens. For now, treat the clip as unverified beyond what it visually shows.

What this means for people living in Kuwait

For residents and expats alike, this is a reminder that parking disputes in Kuwait can escalate in ways that end up filmed and shared widely. If you’re renting or own a car and regularly park near communal bins, it might be worth being extra careful about where exactly you leave your vehicle.

It’s also a reminder that anything caught on camera in a public space here can end up online within hours. Whatever the full story turns out to be, neither side benefits from a dispute turning public like this before the facts are clear.
