Five arrested in Farwaniya
The Farwaniya police have arrested five people an Ethiopian man and four Bangladeshis – two men and two women – for turning their apartment into a brothel in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added, the arrest came after someone informed the Security Director of the Farwaniya Governorate Brigadier Saleh Matar Al-Anzi following which orders were given to put the apartment under surveillance.
All those arrested have been referred to the concerned authorities to prepare their deportation from the country.

Filipina maid arrested
A Filipina was arrested with a parcel of 26 kgs Larica powder coming in from a Gulf country. Investigations are being carried out to find out the identity of the manufacturers of that powder who are responsible for peddling into the local market.

A young Kuwaiti couple (a man and his girlfriend) have been arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for recklessness and driving under the influence of alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
Filipino taxi driver arrested
An unidentified Filipino taxi driver has been detained for interrogation for reckless driving and hitting a traffic policeman when the latter was organizing traffic on the Fourth Ring Road, opposite the Salmiya Fire Brigade, reports Al-Anba daily.
HARIS arrested
Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have taken into custody an unidentified caretaker of a residential building for faking a theft case and attempted to steal KD 1,600 collected as rent from tenants from one of the buildings in Hawalli, reports Al-Rai daily.
