Minimum-wage-400x300Higher Consultative Committee for Labor Affairs at its first meeting headed by Director of the Public Authority for Manpower Jamal Al-Dosari discussed the new mechanism of transferring work permits in some jobs and revisiting the issue of minimum wages in the private sector. Sources said the meeting also discussed a proposal to raise the fees for processing of work permits, and the possibility of applying the automation system on ‘guard and cleaning’ activities to curb the number of personnel in the two fields. In the meantime, an elaborate report will be referred to the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Al-Sabeeh about some 600 disguised employees in the Social Development Sector and over 300 in the Care Department to take an appropriate action in that regard.
