The Ministry of Interior has taken into custody an unidentified Kuwaiti woman for performing religious rites inside her home in violation of the decision issued by the Council of Ministers which prevents people gathering in one place to control the spread of coronavirus, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Directorate General of Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry said the arrest came after a video of the woman performing the religious ritual was posted in the social media.
The Ministry of the Interior has called on everyone to abide by Ministerial Resolution No. 64 of 2020 issued by the Ministry of Health which prevents the holding of parties, including wedding parties and others, irrespective whether they are held in a public places or private homes.
