Finally, Al Shaheed Park (by Al Diwan Al Amiri under the supervision of DAR – Associated Engineering Partnership) is open now for public visits. It is situated on first ring road beside road number 30, called green belt. Green belt was built to create the transition between the old city of Kuwait and the new expansion with historical background.

It include a museum (under construction), memorial, ceremonial zone, an underground parking facility with 800 spaces and most interesting thing is lake which make you feel for a moment that you are not in Kuwait as we are not familiar with lakes in town. The park will serve the public with various amenities and outdoor facilities. In my first visit what I liked that there are many guiders in different corners to guide and aware you about the history of Al Shaheed park. There are many more things to visit but due to being tired after the office I couldn’t give more time and left very early.

When visiting please ensure to abide by the following rules:
No smoking
No littering
No use of bicycles, skateboards, skates, or recreational scooters inside the park.
No outside Food or beverages.
No barbecues or picnics.
No pets allowed.
No damaging any part of any building, sign, sculpture.
No picking or damaging any flower, plant or tree.
No writing on the walls.
No stepping inside the lake and fountains.
No sitting on railings or climbing on any part of the buildings.
No engaging in business or commercial activity inside the park without authorization from the Park Management.
No distribution or placement of notices or advertising device without approval of the Park Management.
No film or photography requiring equipment or exclusive use of an area without permit from the Park Management.
No events or gatherings greater than 20 persons, except by permit.
Please supervise your children at all times to ensure their safety.
Please note that stepping on grass is not allowed except in the Circle of Peace, Amphitheater and around the Constitution Monument. Baby Strollers are not allowed on the grass except for wheelchairs

Please note that the Park management has the right to ask visitors who violates the rules & regulations of Al Shaheed Park to leave the park immediately. Please note that the park management reserves the right, if necessary, to stop picture taking and video recording.
