One K-drama hero in this new batch literally cannot live without his love interest โ his artificial heart only charges when sheโs nearby.
It has been a heavy few months for anyone following Korean dramas, and Kuwaitโs large K-drama fan community, many of them streaming on Netflix or Viu the same week episodes drop in Seoul, has had plenty to keep up with. Between a chaebol murder suspect, a vigilante surgeon and a couple questioning ten years together, there is a lot happening on screen right now.
- Five K-dramas are currently driving the online buzz: Make Me Tingle, Love in Disguise, Doctor X, Take Charge of My Heart and A Love Other Than Yours.
- They cover very different ground, from workplace romance and corporate revenge to a murder mystery and a decade-long relationship falling apart.
- Several cast members are familiar faces from earlier hits like Queen of Tears, Good Partner and Fight for My Way.
- Most of these titles are available on the streaming platforms already popular with Kuwait viewers.
Make Me Tingle: the CEO who doesnโt need fixing
Nam Ji-hyun plays Gong Yeon-su, a marketer from a strict, traditional family who has always played it safe. Her new assignment is promoting the brand built by Dokgo Dal (Kim Jae-young), a free-spirited startup founder who refuses to apologise for anything.

Here, heโs already the most relaxed person in the room, and itโs the heroine who has to unlearn a lifetime of caution. Nam Ji-hyun, recently seen as a rookie lawyer in Good Partner, is well known for playing characters who slowly crack open, and the writing team includes Kang Eun-kyung, known for Dr. Romantic.
Love in Disguise: the secretary with a secret
Yim Si-wan plays Yoon Yi-jun, a third-generation chaebol (family business) heir who becomes a murder suspect. Seol In-ah plays Kang Jae-hee, an ex-special-forces detective who goes undercover as his personal secretary under a false identity.
She is investigating him. He may be lying about what he did. The romance and the mystery run on the same question: can she trust what she feels, or is she falling for someone guilty? Seol In-ahโs undercover look reportedly went viral before the first episode even aired.
Doctor X: revenge, served in an operating theatre
Kim Ji-won, who made audiences cry in Queen of Tears, now plays a freelance surgeon making corrupt executives pay instead. Her character, Gye Su-jeong, is sent by a doctor temp agency to Guseo University Hospital, where a group of power-hungry physicians nicknamed the
