5 Filipina absconding maids arrested while shopping
Five Filipina domestic workers, who were reported as absconding, were arrested while they were shopping in a commercial complex in Khaitan area, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to a security source, the fi ve absconding friends were referred to the concerned authorities in preparation for their deportation.

Filipino taxi driver arrested
An unidentified Filipino taxi driver has been detained for interrogation for reckless driving and hitting a traffic policeman when the latter was organizing traffic on the Fourth Ring Road, opposite the Salmiya Fire Brigade, reports Al-Anba daily.
