The Council of Ministers had decided to extend the partial curfew and suspension of work in ministries and government agencies until next Thursday, April 23, of this year, and work to resume on Sunday, April 26, but this seems unlikely in light of the current circumstances and the government efforts to bring home thousands of Kuwaitis stranded abroad following the suspension of regular commercial flights.

500 people quarantined in Hawally
Ministry of Health teams in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior, quarantined a building in Hawally inhabited by expats of various nationalities. This came to light when 5 expats were infected from coronavirus.

Al-Mousa cited Article 61 of the Labor Law. He said the law stipulates that the employer is under obligation to pay the wages of workers throughout the full or partial suspension of work for as long as the employer wishes to continue the employment of his workers.

MOI grants temporary residence for expiring visas

Video – Power supply to 32 buildings of expat bachelors to be cut
Abdul- Rahman Al-Azmi, Head of the section in Ahmadi Municipality that is in charge of removal of constructional violations, says the municipality, with the cooperation of the concerned authorities, will disconnect power supply to 32 buildings that are in violation of the ministerial decision, which bans bachelors from residing in private residential areas. In a press statement, Al-Azmi revealed that the municipality team inspected 44 homes in Ahmadi Governorate.
