Philippines officially lifts ban on sending domestic workers to Kuwait
The Philippines officially announced lifting of ban on sending domestic workers to Kuwait. A circular was issued by Nasser Mustafa, the labor attaché at the Philippine embassy in Kuwait addressing the recruitment offices in the country to reopen the doors for the recruitment of Filipino domestic workers based on the instructions of the Philippine Labor Minister Silvester H Bello III.

Ban on bringing Filipino workers to Kuwait lifted
The Head of the Federation of Domestic Labor Offices, Khaled Al-Dakhnan, has announced a ban on bringing Filipino workers to Kuwait has been lifted, after months of meetings and negotiations between the federation and the competent authorities. Al-Dakhnan told Al- Seyassah daily it is assumed that the recruitment of Filipino workers will start from next week and Filipino embassy begins to process the workers’ contracts.

35,000 Indians leaving Kuwait in two weeks
Aug 19: Indian nationals from Kuwait continue to leave the country to return to their homeland. Second phase was launched yesterday, which increased its daily quota from 1,000 passengers to 2,500 passengers on approximately 14 flights.

HARIS arrested
