Millions of dinars remain ‘dormant’ in about half a million bank accounts in Kuwaiti banks. Some of these accounts have millions of dinar deposits while others are in hundreds of dinars, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources familiar with these accounts.

The trend of unknown individuals stealing money from local bank accounts continues. The most recent cases are the thefts of KD 430 from the bank account of a Kuwaiti citizen in Bayan area, KD 414 from the account of a Kuwaiti woman in Salmiya area and KD 260 from the account of an Egyptian woman in Nugra area.
