In simple words

This law does not cover workers who have their own special law, such as government employees. It also does not cover domestic workers (housemaids, family drivers, cooks); they are covered by Law No. 68 of 2015.

Example

Is a housemaid covered by this law?

Situation

Rosa works as a housemaid for a family in Salmiya and asks whether she gets 30 days’ leave under this law.

What the law says

No. Domestic workers are excluded from Law No. 6 of 2010. Her rights (leave, working hours, end-of-service pay) come from the Domestic Workers Law No. 68 of 2015.

Names are made up for illustration.
