Since its launch in 1958, Al Arabi Magazine has sought to present a vivid and well-documented portrayal of Arab societies and their vitality. The magazine placed special emphasis on highlighting the professional roles played by Arab women in the labor market by publishing numerous expressive photographs across its pages. These images were captured by Al Arabi photographers during their photo reports covering various parts of the Arab world, breaking stereotypes and offering an objective portrayal of Arab women and their important role in the development process.
As part of the Qurain Cultural Festival 2026, Al Arabi Magazine found the opportunity to honor Arab women by showcasing aspects of their journey through a visual experience reflecting the rich diversity of their economic, social, and other roles. This will be presented through the exhibition “Arab Women… Half of Development,” featuring a selected collection of photographic works.
