Community blood drive at Al Manshar Rotana
Al Manshar Rotana Kuwait in collaboration with Kuwait Central Blood Bank hosted a Blood Donation Day dedicated for their colleagues and for the community.
Kuwait, March 7, 2016- For the second year, Al Manshar Rotana together with the Kuwait Central Blood Bank organized a blood donation day.
The need for blood all over the world remains constant and donations are needed to offset blood shortages. People can donate a pint of blood every 56 days. Donors are encouraged to eat meal prior to giving blood and drink plenty of water. Civil ID is required at donation time. The blood donation campaign took place on Monday, 7th of March 2016 from 9am – 1:00pm.
Imad Zaboura, General Manager of Al Manshar Rotana Kuwait commented: “The previous year campaign was a success and was attended by not only our colleagues but some other guests outside the hotel.”
He continued, “Let us take proactive steps to safeguard blood supply to the blood bank and help millions of people who are in need of blood.”
Professional medical team and staffs will be available to assist all the donors on the said date. All the donated blood will be added to the blood bank’s reserves to support its blood drive initiatives.
This activity is part of Al Manshar Rotana’s commitment to support corporate social initiatives to help save lives and endorse good health practices among its colleagues and the community.
