Undersecretary of Interior Ministry Lieutenant General Sulaiman Al-Fahad led a campaign in Jahra Industrial Area and arrested 145 people for various offenses.
The operation was conducted upon instructions from the Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohamed Al-Khaled in coordination with relevant security authorities during which security operatives blocked access roads to the area and succeeded in apprehending the suspects without making room for any escape.
An Interior Ministry press statement indicated 650 individuals were checked in the campaign that resulted in arrest of 145 suspects, of which 73 were involved in residency violations.
They also included 7 absconders, three people wanted for civil offenses, 11 people with expired residencies, four people without official identification documents, and three wanted people.
