Subsequent to pervasive social media campaigns of calumny against Kuwait by some individuals from various countries, Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its commitment to monitor individuals offending or dragging the country’s name through the mud, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily quoting a diplomatic source stated the ministry will take legal action against those criticizing the country maliciously on social media or other mediums of communication.
He reaffirmed the authorities will not condone the defiance of law by any party, indicating the ministry has since requested its ambassadors to submit a list of names of offenders to the security authorities in Kuwait so as to prosecute them.
