General Traffic Department launched a number of traffic campaigns in all six governorates of the country last week from Aug 7-13 during which 39,978 traffic citations were issued, 1,949 vehicles were impounded including nine wanted vehicles.
two motorbikes were seized, 52 individuals were arrested and six expatriates were referred for deportation for driving vehicles without a driving license.
In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the department affirmed that it will continue to carry out traffic campaigns in all governorates 24/7 to arrest the violators of traffic law and ensure the security of Kuwaiti and expatriate road users.
