Clinics, government hospitals and specialized hospitals will continue to give medicines to expatriate patients.

They indicated that the current charges of KD 1 at the clinics and KD 2 at the hospitals are paid by expatriate patients for obtaining medicines and not for medical consultation, affirming that medicines will continue to be granted to expatriate patients until the inauguration of the insurance hospitals and initial healthcare centers.

The sources said large percent of the expatriates in Kuwait are domestic workers (housemaids) and drivers, and their Kuwaiti sponsors have to bear their expenses including medical expenses.

Meanwhile, Minister of Justice and State Minister for National Assembly Affairs Dr Faleh Al-Azeb revealed that Ministry of Justice will cancel the contracts of several leasehold buildings to save public funds and facilitate the movement of visitors in reaching the new buildings at the court complexes, reports Al-Anba daily.

He declared the official launch of the new court complex in Jahra on Sunday, March 12.
