Kuwait City, Kuwait will hold the summer tournament with kick-off beginning July 7, 2014.

The schedule for the 2014 IFAF U19 World Championship has been finalized. Each Competition Days, July 7, July 10, and July 13, will consist of 4 games. Medal Game Day will also consist of 4 games being played on the 16th.

The Kuwait GridIron Football Federation is the first official GridIron Football Assossiation approved by an Olympic Committee in the Middle-East.

It is currently under the guidance of the KGFF Board of directors lead by Sheik Mohamed Salman Al-Sabah.

Furthermore, they achieved full IFAF membership on the 5th of july 2012 at the 15th IFAF congress in Austin Texas, making it the first Arabic country to join the IFAF.

Also, during that congress, Kuwait accepted and voted on a new structure for the IFAF and received the trust of the member associations of IFAF Asia by securing the post of Vice chair of IFAF Asia for Sheik Mishaal T. Fahad Al-Sabah.

The KGFF’s main goal is to bring all forms of GridIron Football to the forefront of sports globally and especially in the Middle-East.

Participating teams will be Kuwait as the host country and Canada as the current Gold Medal champions from the 2012 IFAF U19 World Championship. Germany, Austria, and France who have qualified as the IFAF Europe representatives, Japan as the IFAF Asia representative and Mexico and the United States as the IFAF America representatives.

Austria, France, and Germany all played in the 2013 European Junior Championship last year to secure the top two spots. After an opening was made, Germany secured the final spot for qualification into the U19 World Championship based on their 2013 third seed finish.

During the championship, IFAF will host a Congress meeting with all IFAF member countries invited. The meeting will be held on the 14th and 15th of July.
