Abortion and surgeries in 20 KWD in Jleeb
Farwaniya security operatives arrested a Bangladeshi laborer disguised as a medical practitioner for stealing medicines from hospitals to serve his community.
A security source said security operatives from Farwaniya led by Brigadier Saleh Al-Enzi pursued and arrested the suspect following information the sector received about his activities. He was in possession of stolen medicines belonging to the Ministry of Health.
Another fake doctor of Bangladeshi nationality has been arrested for illegally practicing medicine inside an apartment in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. According to security sources, when securitymen received information about the fake doctor, they conducted investigations and confirmed the information after which they raided the apartment and arrested him.
They confiscated equipment and tools used for carrying out surgeries as well as medicines. When questioned, the suspect confessed that he has carried out several surgeries for expatriates including abortion, revealing that he obtained the medicines from a compatriot who stole them from hospitals.
He also revealed that he has been practicing this profession for three years and used to charge KD 20 for each surgery. Necessary action was taken and he was referred to the concerned authorities.
