Secretary General of the Government and Manpower Restructuring Program (GMRP) Fawzi Al-Magdali disclosed that proposal to increase the rate of national personnel in private sector to create job opportunities for 17,000 Kuwaitis in place of expatriates has been approved.
He affirmed the new percentage will not exceed 75 percent of the total workforce in each establishment. He shed light on the major amendments suggested, indicating the rate of the national workforce in banking sector will be raised from 64 to 70 percent, 60 to 65 percent in communications sector, insurance sector from 18-22 percent, money exchange sector from 12 to 15 percent,
Arabic private education sector from 10-12 percent, and 5 to 10 percent in English education.
